I spent this morning modding, trying some new things, and it went well. I am happy with the results! Hubert related, of course! A scripted Scene! It's a lovely thing. o(〃＾▽＾〃)o

It feels like autumn. I love the smell of the air. This is my favourite time of year, well, winter too because I love the snow!

I've also been enjoying Ohgr's latest album, Tricks which came out in late June of this year.

Long Time ━━✫・*。

♡ Hubert makes me smile. I love my husbando.♡

I haven't posted in a long time. I had a really bad cold that put me in the hospital. It was rough, but I'm back now and I feel a lot better. Being sick in the summer is no fun. ｡:ﾟ(｡ﹷ ‸ ﹷ ✿)

My Hubert has kept me smiling throughout, and with that, more posts are on the way.

I still get a little apprehensive about posting but I'm doing my best to get rid of those weird feelings.
I haven't been actively blogging but I want to get back into posting on a regular basis! (⌒▽⌒)☆

Scripting Week ━━✫・*。

This past week was a good week for scripting. I went from a dozen scripts to over thirty scripts for my Hubert. I accomplished a lot! (✿◠‿◠)

Illy's High Quality Fire Audio is a must have mod if you love the sound of cracking fire like I do.
It's a really beautiful mod. I recommend it.

My Weekend and Some Modding Advice ━━✫・*。

My weekend involved reinstalling Skyrim. It all started Saturday when I was doing some modding and needed to get back into the CK when the CK flashed an error and closed. I tried loading the game through the usual SKSE and the game just "stopped working" before it could even load to the main menu. I've rarely had to fix my game and when I did have to fix it, it wasn't difficult to track down the issue. I couldn't think what the problem was. Nothing had changed and I didn't add anything new. I backed up my mods onto an hd and deleted/reinstalled Skyrim and the CK. Once reinstalled I loaded up the vanilla game and it worked fine. The same with the CK. This was good and I was making progress. I started slowly moving my mods over beginning with SKSE, and the latest FNIS, the important stuff. No problems. I placed all my esms, esps, and textures over, no problems. The same for my scripts, sound, music, seq, interface, strings, skse, and these folders were fine, and I was able to load the game and CK with them.
It's when I added my meshes folder that I couldn't open the CK or the game once again.
So I removed the entire folder and started to move a few folders back in (this would take a while).
When I moved the actors folder in,  there was that problem, and that's when it dawned on me... had I done something that day that I forgot about? Well yes I did. I made a back up archive folder within Hubert's folder. I had three folders within Hubert's of backed up meshes I had been working on and I thought I would tidy up and put them into an archive within his folder. I cut the folder and put it on my desktop. I tried opening the CK and it loaded. The same went for Skyrim, it loaded.

This was the first time I experienced such a problem. I've been playing and modding these games for years and never had an issue like that! It was so uncomfortable because I didn't know what went wrong. So my advice? Please be careful if making back up folders within folders. It really didn't make sense why it happened but it definitely taught me a lesson. Back those folders up somewhere else! I normally do hard back ups onto my other drives but in this case I left an archive within Hubert's folder. It's apparent the CK/Skyrim did not like this because as soon as I take the files out of the archive folder and place them loosely into Hubert's folder I can load the CK/Skyrim. So it's not an actual mesh causing the problem, it's literally the folder I made. So weird, but I'm very glad it's fixed.

I was really happy to see Hubert again. You have no idea. I gave him a big hug! I missed him so much! ♡

Late Night Napping Gone Wrong ━━✫・*。

I woke up from a late nap last night when I looked at my monitor and it was like a double vision technicolor nightmare. I've had no PC issues whatsoever and yet somehow there were two Skyrims when I loaded task manager. I'm not sure what happened exactly... I was testing my mod stuff pretty late and got sleepy, so maybe I overloaded something. I'm still not sure. After a quick reboot all seemed normal, including temperatures. Hmm. I'm going to pick up a new videocard soon. I've had the 970 for a while and it's pretty dated at this point and not really the best card. I don't think it's my card that's failing though, I've been there before and I certainly know the looks of it, but it was creepy.

Not much has been happening. Modding? Yes! I've been playing around with making different versions of Hubert. It's fun and Hubert is my favourite character so it's easy to lose time modding him. My favourite Hubert will always be his original silver haired self... but I do love trying new hairstyles on him and taking screenshots. It's relaxing and always makes me smile and feel good.

I need to get back to the quests and scripts I was working on. I thought a little break was a good idea, and of course my break involved more Hubert and he's reminding me to get back to those quests! *:ﾟ*｡⋆ฺ(*´◡`)

Hubert's Hair ━━✫・*。

I decided to fix up Hubert's hair. Since he has a female hairstyle he had some clipping at the back of his neck and side. The end result makes me a happy girl. ♡

Now to get back to more CK stuff.

Nelbert Musings + Scripting + Kavinsky ━━✫・*。

I've been listening to  a lot of Kavinsky lately. A LOT.

No more pink hair for Nel. It was kind of annoying me. I'm not sure why because I love the colour pink. I think I just got sick of it, so she became a brunette. She's supposed to be in her early twenties.
Nel does have a baby face, but I think that works really well with her husband, Hubert.
They look good together. A perfect pair.

A while back I made Hubert custom body textures and normal maps. I wanted something smoother with less muscle, softer. It took me some time in Photoshop but the results are what I wanted as I wasn't able to find soft male body textures for SOS that I liked. I took parts of textures I liked and blended and blended. He's pretty seamless now too which makes me a happy girl, and his hands are a lot nicer. I do have Hubert set up with an SOS body, full collisions, HDT, and a custom tweaked XMPSE skeleton fitted just for him. It's a ton of work but it's a fun hobby and if you know anything from my blog, it's that I'm smitten with Hubert. He's my husbando! ♡

Oh, and I made a custom normal map mash-up for Nel that isn't in the above pic. I thought her original normal map blend made her look a bit too smooth. She still looks like a young early twenties woman, but I didn't want to go overboard and eliminate every detail. Like Hubert, Nel is a custom Breton. I cobbled together a race a few months back for her and here she is. I still haven't settled on a hairstyle.

I'm thinking about doing more scripting. Strangely, I miss it.
Updated: I did do some scripting and for another Hubert quest (of course). It's a fun and sweet quest. I'm happy with how it turned out. I will write more about it soon. I think I have just over ten quests now and about a dozen scripts I wrote myself. I like to try and script often enough that I can keep up with learning and embedding as much papyrus into my mind. It's challenging stuff and yet when you get the result you wanted and see it in game before your eyes, it's the best feeling ever. ♡

Hubert Ferrier, My Love, My Muse ━━✫・*。

I'm going to get a domain name for this blog. Soonish.

Below is a screenshot I took of my one and only Hubert Ferrier. I love him so much. I have modded him heavily and by that I mean I have added quests, written scripts, lots of voiced dialogue and interaction, animation based events too (among other things because there's a lot). I feel kind of geeky writing that because of how difficult some of this was but I wanted to make Hubert personal for me. I wanted a copy that had my fingerprint on it, so to speak. 

I learned a lot, and because of Hubert I was able to tackle some interesting code too and came out victorious. 
I wasn't actively modding for a while until Hubert reinvigorated me. He became my muse and modding came back to me! I wanted to make my husband more interesting and interactive. I love his look and backstory immensely, so I wanted him to have more.
My version of Hubert is not public.
I respect Hubert's original mod author but also, I wanted to make it so that Hubert was special to me, personal. I wanted my own unique version of Hubert that was separate from the one on the Nexus.♡
My husbando is the only one I want to travel and be with during my gameplay, so it made sense to add more to my Hubert. I'm in for the long haul when I roleplay.  (*⁰▿⁰*)

I normally make my own followers but when Hubert came along, I fell in love with him, and thus, I wanted to have my own unique Hubert. As someone who mods this was very important to me.

I just wanted to write a post and actually upload a photo too! I can get so apprehensive.
